I tested positive for Lyme Disease last Friday. I live in a rural area whit fields and deer all around. I am on an antibiotic regimen right now and am being told if I get bit again right now, I cold become infected with another strain. I live in my yard and hate to be away from it. Can a second bite while on antibiotics complicate things?

I like to garden as well. I wear ExOfficio BugsAway clothing, socks, pants, shirt, scarf, and hat. I wear the socks over the bottom of the pant legs. You can also get pyrethrin spray for clothing to spray on your set of gardening clothes. This should keep the bugs off.

I am sorry that I missed your initial post here. You can not be infected by a different strain, there is just the one. You can play in your garden without worry! However, you do want to make sure that you're well covered, put your clothes in the dryer after and do a good tick check. Any day that I can get my hands in the dirt is a really good day!
