Hello everyone. I was diagnosed in August of this year after dealing with joint pain, weight gain despite good nutrition and exercise, decreased exercise tolerance, and extreme fatigue. Thought it was my thyroid since thyroid issues run in the family. Imagine my surprise when I was told I had Lyme Disease. The last time I remember being bitten by a tick was my senior year in high school (1995)! Over the last 2 months I've been treated with 2 rounds of doxycycline (1st round was to treat a sinus infection actually) and a round of biaxin to treat cellulitis and an outer ear infection on my left ear. I've been diagnosed with high blood pressure (a visit to the ER 2 weeks ago with a BP of 177/112 prompted that diagnoses). I was starting to feel closure to my normal self but now I am back to feeling bad again 6 days after my last antibiotic dose. I have support from my family and friends but my doctors follow the CDC guidelines of once treated then it's cured even though it obviously isn't. So I feel it's up to me to control my treatment, research and learn as much as I can, and make my voice heard.

Hi Heather

I am glad you posted your story.

Hello Heather!
My daughter 29 is in the same boat.
We tried for a yr to get treatment and couldn’t so she started the Cowden Protocol. While it hasn’t cured her, she is better, 8 months so far…
And has started the Whole 30.
If you are interested join the FB group Lyme Herbals and read the files on the page. The group has been a huge help when we have had a problem.
Blessings,
Julie

Thank you, Jewels. I’ll do that. Blessings to you all as well.

Thank you, Purplebutterfly. I’m glad I did, too.
