I was finally diagnosed after 7 years. I did 6 weeks on IV rocephan. I had 2 fingers lock up and had surgery for that 1 month ago. I have severe sensitivity on skin at that area to where it feels like a constant burning. Is that normal? Also I have brain fog, memory problems. After all this time with no treatment am I now cured? I have lots of questions and am looking for help
It could related to the surgery. When they cut through the skin, it damages all of those nerves and causes the area to burn or tingle or hurt. It can go away over time, but it takes time. It can be super annoying.

What about the other questions. Anyone have answers?
The brain fog and memory problems are pretty common symptoms after Lyme exposure, even with effective treatment. It falls under the numerous symptoms associated with post treatment Lyme disease syndrome. The answer is never more antibiotics, and I suggest you run from any supposed “lyme-literate” provider who tells you otherwise. There are medications that can help with these truly frustrating problems. Please ask a good general practitioner about what can help. Keep in mind that it may take time to get the right med combo to make you feel more like yourself.
