My name is Stephanie and I just recently joined this community as I was diagnosed with Lyme and 3 co-infections in 2016. My partner and best friend have been so supportive through treatment but my doctor suggested I join an online support group so that I can learn more and find more support through people experiencing the same thing. I am so thankful this community exists. Thank you and I hope to connect with you.
Hi Steph, My daughter has been dealing with lyme for the past 3years…possibly longer pre diagnosis. No doubt this can be a very long battle. Just letting you know that you are not alone.
Hi steph!
Its going to bet better, much much better but it may not be as quick as we would like. Keep faith no matter what comes or gos.
Myself i have proably had it most of my life sick for almost ten years i guess diagnosed and treated for almost three. It has been horrible destroyed my marriage and god knows what else but it has made me better. Finally i believe soon i will be done with itbetter every day now
Anyhow i hope you have a good specialist as i believe many docs just dont grt the complexity of the disease. I am an rn and heard them talk about it some they tend to just think it isjust another infection. The treatment killing it off best for me is called low dose immuno therapy or ldi. Combined with occasional antibiotics nutritional iv support on occasion. Temember this thing can be very individualized and we arenot exactly the same
You WILL get better but be prepared to give it time and be patient all things are possible
