I’ve been having a deep pain in my upper left arm for a while, I went to ER for the same issue a few weeks back, EKG normal, they said u had tachycardia but as far as heart attack or blood clots, everything was normal. I have OCD and I can’t stop rearranging my furniture and I think I may have pulled something inside it. Sometimes with the mental stress I’m under with my disabilities and allergic reactions to foods …and caring for a 2 year old and 2 step kids along with these physical symptoms I feel like I’m having a heart attack. I feel inflamed a lot in different areas of my body… I do a lot of lifting heavy kid, and unnecessarily moving of furniture … I guess I don’t know what I’m expecting by posting this… I wonder if muscle pain is worse in lyme diseased individuals. Or a low tolerance for pain. I hate taking meds because of past allergic reactions but I wonder if I should take my zyprexa and ibrofen for arm pain…also I’ve to chiropractor for spinal issues and I’m thinking the pain in my arm is from a pinched nerve, the docs already ruled our heart attack.
Lymelady, sometimes I think too many doctors' visits may be spiking your anxiety and OCD. I had a time of my life, and young kids were part of it, when going to the doctor made me very depressed and anxious. Let the furniture be. Talk back to your OCD. If the furniture looks wrong, let it look wrong. Look up some mindfulness and breathing relaxation techniques on youtube, and whenever you feel compelled to move furniture, do your mindfulness exercises and deep breathing instead. Then hopefully, your muscles will have a chance to heal, and you won't need the ibuprophen. Anxiety makes everything harder. The good news is it is very much improvable.
Thanks for writing this, I will try to talk back to my OCD and focus on mindfulness. My husband also advised me to stop wasting precious energy on doctors visits. I’m going to try and enjoy the kids more and live in the moment. Thanks for the positive uplift
Have a terrific weekend, Lymelady! Be sure to do something fun and enjoyable for yourself. :)
