Hello everybody!
I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in 2013, and started treatment that very year. I had 8 strains and was on high dosages of antibiotics, vitamins, and diet (no dairy, no sugar) for 8 months. After the 8 months, I still had all of the same symptoms and my doctor tested my levels, and i still had 8 out of the 10 strains, so he diagnosed me with chronic lyme disease, and pretty much told me there was nothing he could do medically for me anymore, and just to keep up with my strict diet. Does anybody else have Chronic Lyme? Are there any other method of treatments? I also have Bartonella, and Babesia.
Chance of actually actually having the combinations you are talking about are roughly 1 in ten million unless of course your labs were done by one of the alternative labs. BUT rather than “Chronic Lyme” which doesn’t exist you very well could have PTLDS. while it usually resolves once left alone there are a number of treatments specific to the symptoms you are having. Lyme can and does (about 5% of the time) damage the immune system.
The BEST specialist to deal with those disorders is a Rheumatologist.
Diet will help if you took a lot of antbiotics. While Probiotics are not bear as effective as the folks selling them would have you believe they can help. Sauerkraut believe it or not (especially home made) is the most effective food to add to your diet. I’m not sure of the no sugar no dairy thing. That’s a common fad right now.
