Lyme has been part of my life since 2000. Over the last 6 months I have experienced muscle soreness in my calves, shoulders, and lower back. In addition I have had numerous ear infections. Today the doctor determined I had a bacterial infection of the ear drum. Could my ear problems be residual effects of the lyme disease? In addition does anyone have a suggestion of how to deal with my soreness.
The only thing I found that helps, it to keep moving, As for the ear infections, that is one of my major issues, my left ear rings nonstop and has for over 3 years , I have a lot of pressure and keeping a tube helps the pressure. I have a new tube put in about every six months. I have severe hearing loss due to nerve damage to that left ear. my right flairs occasionally. I have times that my ears feel like I have hot pokers in them, but the worst thing is my sensitivity to sound. Its funny , the ENT always says I have fluid build up and that's the problem, but when he puts in the tube there is no fluid. I am now in need of a another tube (#6) and I had a thought, since I am taking doxy why not use doxy ear drops, I am goanna ask, it aint like anything else is working. and why not before I have more permanent hearing loss.
My GP put me on Doxy for 10 days. The ringing in my ear has stopped and my hearing is returning, However, my body is extremely sore.

I have been on oral doxy for six months and while it has helped many other symptoms it hasn't stopped the ringing and pressure. I thought doxy drops may be different, I am trying gluten free right now and I think it is helping and they say cut out sugar. In the past I have done some very strict dietary programs and for me what I have concluded. I agree we need to eat food as close to the way god made it as possible, stay away from processed, gmo, and toxic, but realistically, that can be really tough and often caused counter productive stress and make things worse. This crappie disease makes us sensitive to so many things and it is ever changing. I may have a week that I feel shockingly better, but then I crash, it seems to be a consistent cycle. If you find something that helps please share and I promise to do the same.

Have not changed my diet and do not intend too. Going back to my RA doc next week and hope he has some ideas, I know in the beginning he saved my life from this damn disease, After my 15 year struggle maybe he can provide some relief.I am turning 68 this month and don't want to restrict my daily life. I am going to fight fight and fight this disease.
