Katie invites you to tell your Lyme story

I suppose that the producers need proof that this is a topic of interest.

Hi SK,

Thank you for providing this info! Do you know how or where we submit a Lyme story? I couldn't find anywhere on her site to write in.

This is about the only thing I could find, hope that's it!

katie my story goes back to 1998 visiting my mom in Ireland. Before i went to Ireland the side of my face felt numb but i thought nothing of it. While I was at my mom's home I fell one morning for no reason. I felt dizzy and no real balance. I came back to the States and felt worse. I had sever vertigo and ended up in the hospital and nobody knew what was causing this. When i went to bad at night I felt the bed tilting the bed was not tilting but it's the sensation I had. I was very shaky on my legs .

This went on for months. My vision became blurred and strange sensation came all over my body. I had a 4 year old so I could not afford to be sick. For years I went to different doctors and was told it's MS , It's lupus, it's this and that and a million other things. I had Mri's and spinal tap. There was no real evidence for lyme in the spinal fluid. Finally my neurologist told me it's probably lyme and put me on Iv rocephin. I do not feel any better. I have good days and bad days.

Hi tnpups,

I relate to you and your symptoms. I had the same numbness in face and shakiness- also went to countless doctors who ended up diagnosing me with fibromyalgia after MRI's and countless blood tests. I have three positive Western Blot's for Lyme but doctors are more comfortable with fibro as a diagnosis. I completely understand about good days and bad days- you are not alone there! Hope you are having a good day, keep us posted on how you are doing!
