Among the many symptoms my son is dealing with in his battle with Chronic Lyme, MCAS and several co-infections we have identified, is the fact that he has developed a massive amount of floaters in both eyes. He sees hundreds of blots, swiggles, and lines through both eyes. It is like looking through a web for him. The ability to work on the computer is challenged now to a large degree, and that’s the work that he does. He has been to an Opthamologist and a Neuro-Opthamologist and with all the testing has not been helped. His optic nerve is not inflamed and they cannot see the floaters, nor any reason for them. They are as stumped as with are even with the info of his medical situation. His eyesight continues to be very good upon exam but the floaters are extremely troubling and causing him to see things that are not there. It is continuing to get worse.
Has anyone out there experienced this or something similar? Has anyone got a
clue as to what is causing this or had success in getting rid of it?
Hi I cannot offer any help on the issue with your sons eyes, but I can say a prayer for him today. However concerning the chronic Lyme I can offer a suggestion. Recently I finished a four month course of a drug newly discovered for us folks with chronic Lyme. killing it well beyond any drug used prior including IV meds. By Gods grace physically I feel wonderful now! You can research the drug on Lymedisease.org, just enter it in the search bar. The drug is actually an old one called Antabuse, crazy thing is not an antibiotic, it was used for malaria and treat additions to alcohol. Hope it helps.
